The inside core must be removed by the operator before drilling deeper. For precise spot drilling, the use of a centering bit (48-20-5495, not included) is , and a drift key (48-20-5497) helps remove the centering bit from the core bit. Available in SDS Max or spline shanks, these core bits come in diameters ranging from 1-1/2 inches to 6 inches, with overall lengths of either 11-3/8 inches or 22 inches and a drilling depth of 3 inches. The asymmetric tooth pitch with alternating tooth geometries enables faster material pulverization, while the one-piece design maximizes energy transfer.
